Slapped this into my new 21.5" iMac base model. Installation was a breeze and the imac recognized it upon boot up, no issues at all.

I have been running with this RAM in my MacBook Pro 17 (Summer 2009) for over 6 weeks. Not one lockup/freeze or problem of any kind. Programs are faster in general and I don't worry about closing applications any more. Apple computers through the years have been extremely finicky about RAM quality. I can't recommend these SO-DIMM's high enough. I put my old factory 2GB sticks for the MacBook Pro 17 into my wife's new MacBook 13. That worked perfectly..
These two 4GB SO-DIMM sticks cost $1200 from Apple directly. Spoil yourself and don't feel guilty about buying them here for much less -- especially if you use Parallels Desktop, or VMWare. Kingston will back you up, Amazon will also.

Just make sure when you open your macbook pro where each screw goes in which corner because the screws have a build-in curve to it so they don't stick out when you put them back on the wrong place..
the change is like day and night when running multiple apps ... or app launching times ... I just expanded the life time of the laptop a year more....

After searching a lot in the internet I found that these were the best DiMMs (inside my price range) for my $$ 1,499 Imac 21.5" Late 2009 model. By factory it comes with 4Gb which are enough for daily computing... but I satrted using parallels 5 to run windows 7 ultimate and it was consuming to much Ram... It never froze my system but I just wanted to run it without any problems in the future so I just decided to buy two of this SODIMMS and just installed them watching a video from youtube (to make sure how to introduce them correctly) and it was very easy!!! just put them in the right orientation and push them HARD... ( when i mean hard is HARD... ) Now I have a lot of memory to run whatever I want!!!
