The Iomega 34169 500GB USB 2.0 Prestige Portable Hard Drive not only met my expectations, but exceeded them. It's been bother having to lug a standard external drive around while on vacation, but the physical size of this drive, not to forget the 500 GB capacity, more than meets my needs. This was a great purchace at a great price.

I bought this to use on my PC and MAC. I created several partitions on it to store a backup of my PC hard drive, a backup of my family videos and photos, and a backup of my MACOS hard drive. Small enough to store in secure places like a safe or security box. Very quiet when running. I have not had to use both USB cables at once. Seems to work ok with just one plugged in. It should be treated like any hard drive, keep it stationary when you're using it and store it in a safe place when you're not. Highly recommend!

Great Value and seamless installation. I just plugged it into the USB port and and everything installed automatically. It even came with a system backup software package that has many options for backing up your entire system or partial backups. Right now I have 3 complete system backups and still have over 400 GB of free space. The hard drive is small, sturdy and reliable. You can unplug it and take it with you in a matter of seconds. I would recommend this to anyone.

I ordered the Iomega Prestige 320 GB USB external Hard drive because I needed a source to carry my photographs for class plus pdfs, and movies. I am a student and I was looking for something bigger than a thumb drive that did not break the bank and was not large. This hard drive is light, slim, quiet, well made and durable (metal casing). Also, it is surprisingly quick at uploading material. Also there is no difference in quality between this product and a Western Digital or Seagate hard-drive. Also the Iomega Prestige comes with some fairly useful software, all of which you can obtain simply with your serial number on their website.

I bought this hard drive because I needed to back up all of my client work from my laptop computer, but didn't want to spend too much money on one. I found this and really liked the style of it because it matched my laptop. Having read the reviews, I was concerned about the USB cable problem but I haven't suffered from this, my cable fits snugly into the hard drive and won't come out without actually pulling on it. The LED that flashes when you access the hard drive is white, which matches the macbook pro's LED. Overall, just a very nice drive and perfect for my needs. 160gb is easily enough for me to back up my files (actual starting capacity was 149gb). Highly recommended to anybody with style and/or a smaller budget!
