Great sound! Exactly what I was looking for.

I was skeptical that one single small speaker could sound good, but really wanted a portable speaker for my Zune and it was Altec Lansing which is a brand I trust. Sounds great, still not sure how one little speaker can sound so clear and loud.

the sound is very loud, even in a 20'x16' room with 10' ceilings.
so, use it in a conference room at work or at starbucks with your iPhone or iPod.
there will be zero bass for rap songs, but vocals, country, and even solo piano can sound wonderful with the im207. i played beethoven's 5th symphony 1st and 3rd movements recently and the sound was quite accurate, just do not turn the volume of the iPhone pass 8/10. für elise sounded wonderful with the tiny speaker and even moonlight sonata was enjoyable. so, if you don't mind buying fresh aaa batteries every 2-3 weeks, get this tiny speaker. it will sound way better than the internal iPhone speaker, for starters!
i actually prefer this over my apple hi-fi as it has an excitingly bright sound and the hi-fi can be heavy in the mids. for the road, the im207 cannot be beat. it is way better than those that sits on top of iPods and much smaller than the smallest panel speakers.
it seems tough too as i have already dropped it 3 times...

The speaker works well with my iPod & dock. The short cable rolls once around the body and makes the speaker slip easily into my bag. The sound isn't stellar with the volume turned all the way up, but that's not the role of this speaker. The purpose is portability and sound for most use without having to worry about features, settings, or recharging. It does all this well and the price is great.
A great benefit I learned after receiving it was that the diameter of the jack is small enough to fit my iPhone without an adapter. Because it lives up to the price expectations, I'd recommend this.

This is my third external speaker that I have bought to use with my iPhone and XM MP3 player. This speaker sounds beyond great more than loud enough to use in the house, hotel or outside. I read some of the reviews where people complain about battery installation or the on/off switch. Its easy to do both they must like to complain, its just like every other electronic I own.
So for the money this is a really great speaker.

I bought this little speaker to use with my iPod while in the car. My friend and I wanted to download a number of music and Book CDs that we could listen to together during a two week driving trip. It worked perfectly! The 3 AAA batteries seem to last forever. It is very easy to use. The quality is good, and more than loud enough. It takes up practically no space in a suitcase or car. I am so glad I checked with Amazon before buying. While not a Bose speaker, it is a great value for the price.
