If you want to travel with your iSight, you don't want to rip the adhesive off your monitor at home and bring the mount with you and try to stick it somewhere else. The additional plastic mounts can be used on your computers at work and at a friend's - if they don't mind you gluing something to their monitor. The iSight mounts well - firmly into place with the kit, but Apple really needs to come up with some better looking mounting options... not just better looking, but more functional. I'd prefer a weighted base with a telescopic/snake-like bendy mount that I can contort and move wherever I want. The laptop mount has no stickum - just mounts w/ gravity and friction to the screen on your powerbook. Great if you need a replacement.

I only needed the mount that was magnetic. Kind of pricey, but it looks great on my HD CD.
